Carly & Tyler had been planning their wedding for a long time, and it turned out magical. Surrounded by family & friends, they said I Do at their beautiful church, St. Justin Martyr Parish in Eastlake, Ohio. A gorgeous church, with beautiful light and stained glass windows. Luckily for Carly, the church is just blocks from where she got ready, her Grandmother’s house. Also the same house that her own mother got ready on her wedding day! Carly’s mom even showed me photos of herself getting ready there, and we reenacted some of those shots for Carly. How many people can say that they have had that opportunity?!
After the ceremony, we headed to Mentor, Ohio for formal photos in an historical Northeast Ohio building called The Matchworks Building, with original bricks built in the late 1800s. So much unique character in this building, and it was a warm alternative to the snow outside.
The reception was held at the gorgeous LaMalfa Party Center, in Mentor, Ohio. A venue filled with unique areas for photo opportunities, delicious food, and amazing staff. You should have seen the appetizer buffet alone! I could have easily filled up on those appetizers alone, my favorite being the chilled salmon.
Yes, Carly & Tyler had a little too much fun with the cake cutting. But, it was a blast. Did I mention that the mother of the groom made the favors or homemade soaps? Amazing!
Then it was time to get the party started! The DJs from Sound Styles Unlimited did not disappoint. This was not my first wedding with these guys, it was actually my third including my own wedding! Yup, they were my own wedding DJs. Kept the dance floor packed all night! Carly & Tyler had some surprise guests show up, the amazing The Irish American Club Pipe Band -East Side. Yes, bagpipes and all!! It was SO cool!! They were playing an event in the ballroom next store, and when they heard there was a wedding they just had to say hi. Everyone loved it!!!
I want to wish Carly & Tyler the most blessed life together as husband and wife. They are the sweetest couple, with the most amazing family and friends. It was an honor to capture such a special day.
